Student Wellbeing and Student Voice are key elements of life at Mercy College.
This morning on the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence, student leaders welcomed all students as they walked through our front gates. The message the students delivered to students at the start of their day was “On this day we say ‘No’ to bullying behaviour and always know that there is always someone to turn to for support at Mercy if you ever need it.”
Year Levels then held assemblies where students made this pledge together; “I make a commitment to treat everybody with respect. I will show compassion and hospitality to others in need. I will have the courage not to be a bystander, but to work for justice by being an upstander. It is my responsibility to work towards maintaining an environment where everyone feels safe to be who they are and to have the chance to demonstrate excellence in all they do.”
