School Times and Term Dates

Mercy College operates on a five period a day, 10 day timetable cycle.  This format ensures that all subjects receive balanced contact time and allows for a more flexible approach to learning opportunities.

The school day is arranged so that all students attend a 24 minute Wellbeing session after recess. This allows for communication of relevant information and development of a relationship between each student, their peers and their  Wellbeing teacher. The Wellbeing session reflects our commitment to nurturing the whole student, supporting emotional growth and spiritual development alongside academic learning. The day is organised into five teaching lessons as detailed below:

Before School:        8.00am - 8.40am

Preparation Bell:    8.40am

Period 1:                    8.45am - 9.45am
Period 2:                    9.45am - 10.45am

Recess:                       10.45am - 11.05am

Preparation Bell:    11.05am

Wellbeing:                 11.11am - 11.35am

Period 3:                     11.35am - 12.35pm
Period 4:                     12.35pm - 1.35pm

Lunch:                         1.35pm - 2.15pm

Preparation Bell:     2.15pm

Period 5:                     2.20pm - 3.20pm

Mercy College operates on a two week timetable. The College calendar, which is distributed to parents at the beginning of each year sets out the important dates for that year.

Term Dates 2026

Term 1:       Thursday 29 January - Thursday 2 April

Term 2:       Monday 20 April - Friday 26 June

Term 3:       Tuesday 14 July - Thursday 17 September

Term 4:       Monday 5 October - Friday 4 December
