Available Positions

Mercy College Cello Teaching Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Cello teacher to join our Instrumental Music Program in 2022.

This sessional position would commence in Term One, 2022, and would be for approximately half a day a week, with the possibility of an increased FTE moving forward.

This role comprises:

  • Private Cello Teaching
  • Assisting with the Direction of the String Ensemble and String Quartet

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a skilled performer and teacher of the cello, with a background in classical cello.
  • Have the ability to teach and prepare students for VCE Music Performance.
  • Have sound knowledge of music theory and AMEB examination expectations.
  • Encourage and prepare students for recitals, exams and other performance opportunities.
  • Promote an energetic and high quality music culture within the school community.

Applicants should have appropriate tertiary qualifications:

  • Music Performance and/or Teaching qualification
  • Working with Children Check or VIT

Mercy College is a Catholic school for girls, in Coburg, Melbourne’s North.  We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Personal Assistant to the Principal, to join the College in 2022.
