Facilities

Mercy College are excited to announce that consultation and planning has begun for a number of building upgrades, due for completion in 2023. This project will provide tertiary level VCE facilities, outdoor learning and tranquil transition spaces for students and staff and communicate the schools values to the public.

West Building: The refurbished West Building will provide tertiary level VCE facilities for students and staff and maximise the north facing connection to the existing courtyard garden. The new lift and elevated walkway will provide an accessible connection between West Building and the Library.

Sydney Road Fence: New signage and landscaped garden beds will transform the school’s interface with Sydney Road, softening the hard masonry fencing and asphalt footpath and communicating the school’s core values to the public.

Clairvaux Foyer: The new Clairvaux Foyer canopy area will provide a tranquil transition space and spacious undercover milling area. The custom perforated metal shading creates an engaging pattern of light, while the College logo within the custom brick paving will encourage a sense of school pride.

Clairvaux Building: The aging brick façade and exposed services of the Clairvaux building will be concealed by dynamic perforated medal façade cladding and a new College sign. This upgrade presents a refreshed and modern face to the school entry (Gate 2) and Sydney Road. New external canopies and landscaping provide increased amenity to students for outdoor classes, lunch breaks and general circulation around the building.
