Mercy College Master Plan
Mercy College is committed to creating contemporary, welcoming and future-focused learning environments that support student wellbeing and growth. Guided by the College Master Plan, developed with Williams Ross Architects, these upgrades will revitalise spaces while honouring the College’s history and character.
The Master Plan focuses on staged improvements to modernise facilities, strengthen connections between buildings and outdoor spaces, improve accessibility, and create flexible learning environments that support future generations.

Chapel Refurbishment
The Mercy College Chapel is a significant space that reflects the College’s faith, history and community. The Master Plan includes thoughtful upgrades to preserve its character while improving functionality, accessibility and connection to surrounding spaces. It will continue to serve as an important place for liturgies, reflection and community gatherings.

Staff Lounge & Administration Building Refurbishment
Built in 1955, this building has long supported the daily life of the College. The planned upgrades will modernise staff facilities, improve comfort and functionality, and create more contemporary and collaborative spaces for staff wellbeing and professional connection, while respecting the heritage character of the building. These changes will help create a more practical and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Multi-Purpose Space Refurbishment
The Multi-Purpose Space is a central hub for learning, events and community gatherings. Planned upgrades will improve flexibility, functionality and accessibility, while strengthening its connection to outdoor areas. These changes will create a more modern and adaptable space that better supports students, staff and the wider Mercy community.

Library Refurbishment
The Library will be upgraded to create a more contemporary and flexible learning environment. The refurbishment will support collaboration, independent study and student wellbeing, while ensuring the space continues to meet the evolving needs of learning and teaching across the College.
