60th Anniversary
1965 to 2025
This year, we are proud to be celebrating a truly special milestone—60 years of Mercy College. Our current students and staff and each member of our community have all been a part of our story for the last 60 years. Their achievements and contributions have played a vital role in shaping the spirit and success of our school community.

60th Anniversary Mass
On Tuesday 18 February we gathered as a school community to celebrate our 60th Anniversary Mass at St Paul’s Catholic Church. We were fortunate to have as our celebrant, Auxillary Bishop to Northern region Rene Ramirez RCJ DD, and concelebrant Father James Puppady, Parish Priest of St Paul’s and St Oliver Plunkett. We were also fortunate to be joined by representatives who have been a part of our Mercy story: Sisters of Mercy, Principals from some of our parish primary schools, past Mercy College Principals, Foundation students and MACS representatives.
Blessing of the Labyrinth
Blessed by Auxillary Bishop to Northern region Rene Ramirez RCJ DD on 18 February 2025, the Mercy College Labyrinth is a meditative space designed to inspire contemplation, personal reflection, and spiritual connection. Located in our tranquil peppercorn garden, this labyrinth offers a peaceful retreat for all who seek solace or deeper introspection. The labyrinth invites us to walk our own journey as a pilgrim of hope, inspired by the 2025 Jubilee Year theme and our own 2025 College Theme celebrating 60 Years of Hope through Mercy.
60th Anniversary Performing Arts Concert
Our 60th Anniversary Performing Arts Concert was an unforgettable night of music, dance and drama. The passion and hard work that was demonstrated throughout the evening by the variety of student performances across all year levels, was commendable and it was a thoroughly entertaining evening!
